What is bioenergetics? Why does it work so well for kids?

It sounds too easy… can you tell me more?

Bioenergetics is the study of life and energy. Think about biology and physics.

Simply put, we are discovering the relationship between living things and the environment. 

Do you remember high school biology? Some bioenergetic processes you might remember are: photosynthesis, cellular respiration, ATP synthesis.

Get this, we can apply this idea to your own energetic field and the cells of your body!

But, how does it work exactly?

Bioenergetics is the study of energy in living organisms and we are seeing how energy (or stress) are affecting the body on a cellular level.

Everything vibrates with energy. But how it affects our personal energy field is different for every single person. Bacteria, food, objects, toxins, pathogens, etc. literally everything has energy. Our scan measures that energy to see what’s impacting the body.

This works because on a cellular level, we are all made up of energy. It’s our vital force, or qi.

What do you mean energetic stress?

Our goal is to be at a balanced 50hz. So when we probe the liver and its coming in at 70hz, that is high stress. We know that there is inflammation in that area. When we get to the thyroid and see its coming in at 30hz, we know there's low energy/weakness in that area.

So how do you address what we find?

We want to correct the imbalances so you feel well again. This can be done by supporting weak organs, focusing on nutrition and taking the remedies picked out in the scan. Sometimes our practitioners will add supportive therapies to protocols such as: craniosacral, acupuncture, chiropractic care, airway evaluation, etc as additional supports depending on how your scan presents.

How is this different from just taking a mycotoxin urine test, lyme test, stool test, dutch test, food sensitivity test, OAT, etc?

I’m so glad you asked! I took all those tests, too. And I was still very sick. These tests aren’t always as sensitive or specific as we’d like. It can miss what’s there and we can run all the tests and know what we have, but still not know what to DO, and HOW, and WHERE. We’re essentially operating blind, guessing and testing, playing symptom whack-a-mole at the expense of the patient.

Let’s look at recommended functional testing:

• First a mycotoxin urine test. It will test for 40 different mycotoxins through the urine ($300)

• Then take a lyme blood test. It will test for borrelia and maybe babesia or bartonella. Testing costs $500-$2000 depending on what panel is ordered and how many strains you’re looking for. You should also add in co-infection panel testing, too.

• Followed by a GI MAP Stool Test to look for parasites for $429.

• Add a DUTCH test which focuses on hormones- that’s another $300-$600. When my naturopath ordered one for me, she told me during my consult that she didn’t know how to read it.

• What about food sensitivity testing? $250+ and the accuracy is questionable at best.

  Then there are the array of specialty lab markers that cost hundreds-thousands, and may not even find what you’re looking for. But let’s say you DO find it, that marker is HIGH!! Now what?

  How does it want to be treated? Where is it in the body? Is that the root cause or just a clue to a bigger, underlying problem? No other test will tell us this… except these scans.

This is where bioenergetic testing SHINES. It answers all of those questions and more, specific to you and your body because our hair and saliva holds onto patterns of stress that we’ve encountered, then stores that information.

I got all of those functional medicine tests too and while it was validating to finally have data that shows something was clearly wrong, it didn’t make my symptoms go away.

It didn’t make people “believe me” any more than they did before the test.
